Company Information Our client is one of the largest manufacturers of interconnect products in the world. Their mobile consumer products group provides a broad range of interconnect devices found in mobile phones, PDAs and other mobile devices. Our client is looking for Research Manager/Research Leader to be the primary driver for their antenna technology development.
Job Description

Key duties and responsibilities:

 

  • Initiate innovated idea or concept for breakthrough antenna technology. Ownership of technology road-map for main stream technology as well  as other advanced technology which can be helpful for driving business development.
  • Work out regular  research group working plan including resource planning, research project selection, and timeline scheduling
  • By leading, coaching research team as well as hands on practice, works out predefined new technology projects, which may include theoretical study and simulation, prototyping, and systematical verification of feasibility of mass production.
  • Build-up and re-configure research team acc to company strategy, market and technology trend, and customer requirement.
  • Research team and activities daily management including goal-setting, performance appraisal, people motivation, working procedure definition.
  • Trace industry and academic technology progress, communicate about customer requirement, indentify and arrange patent processing.
  • Build-up linkage with antenna and RF technology business network, build-up good relation with counter functions in customers.
  • Present the company and technology to customers and other parties in the wireless world.
  • Work as consultant for company operation as well business development.

 
Qualifications Background & Skills:

- Good interpersonal and presentation skills, able to work in interdisciplinary and intercultural environment.
- Self-motivated, constructive executor with sense of responsibility,
- Effective communication in English, both oral and writing.
- Min. 5 years experience in RF and antenna design or research, preferably for mobile device antenna.
- Hands-on design experience and HFSS, CST or other simulation skills are preferred.
- Master degree or above in Electrical Engineering.
- Technical management experience is a plus.
